Our Elected Officers

“The elected officers of the organization shall be the President, President‐Elect, Vice‐President of Membership, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, and Member‐At‐Large. These officers shall perform the duties prescribed by these by‐laws. The elected officers shall constitute the Executive Board.”
President
Liz Molina
Liz previously served two years as President-Elect. She is originally from Sanger, CA, and also spent part of her childhood living in Dallas, Texas and Mexico. Liz is a proud alum of Fresno State and is the first in her family to earn her degree. She is proud to be part of the League of Mexican American Women with its long history of serving Fresno County - over 50 years! Her goal is to ensure the League is set up to continue serving the community far into the future. If you are looking for a way to connect to your Latino culture while giving back to the community, she encourages you to attend the next League monthly meeting and hopes you find it’s a right fit for you!
President-Elect
Maria Klassen
Maria was born and raised in Oxnard, CA. She is the eldest of five siblings and the first to graduate in her family. Maria attended Mount Saint Mary’s College, an all-Women’s University in Los Angeles, CA. Maria is married to her husband Ben and has five children. She works at Central Valley Regional Center with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is also a proud member of the Central Valley Blue Star Moms and is also on the Quail Lake Charter Council and English Language Learner Advisory Committee.

Jane Cardoza
Jane Cardoza is the 2024 LMAW Vice-President of Membership. Jane is a retired judge of the Fresno Superior Court, a board trustee of San Joaquin College of Law, and is on the Advisory Board of Fresno State University College of Arts and Humanities. She proudly encourages and supports education for girls and women because she believes that education is the key to a lifetime of economic mobility and success.

Member-At-Large
Janie Rostro
Janie is the 2024 Member-At-Large. Ms. Rostro has served on the board for League of Mexican American Women for several years and also serves on the Executive Board of Arte Americas. She is happy and honored to be part of and to represent these two amazing organizations founded by a great group of women in our community. She is a retired Social Worker who has stayed active by volunteering in our community since her retirement over ten years ago. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and is an active member of The Fowler Worship Center Church where she attends. Ms. Rostro also enjoys dancing, attending music venues and has been a member of Weight Watchers for several years. Si Se Puede!
Previous Past President
Martha Espinosa-Kroll
Martha Espinosa-Kroll was the 2023 LMAW President. She previously served as President for two years, and President-Elect and Secretary for two prior years. Martha is from Parlier, CA, and is the first in her family of five to graduate from high school and attend college. Martha earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Berkeley with a double major in Political Science and History.
She currently works as a Business Services and Rapid Response Coordinator with the Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board. Her job entails connecting businesses to resources and services to help their business grow and thrive. She also assists dislocated workers that have been impacted by a layoff or business closure and connect them to valuable community resources. Her passion is to help individuals find their career path. Martha enjoys running and co-founded the BNB Runners group, she has run four full marathons!
