Dolly Arredondo
As a founding member, Dolly was involved in the incorporation of LMAW as a recognized 501(c)3. Dolly assisted in the drafting of the leagues’ Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws. The organization became recognized on March 9, 1978. League members attend the first Chicana Issues Conference sponsored by Governor Jerry Brown and organized by Assistant to the governor, Irene Tovar. League members appointed to the Steering Committee were Pat Aguirre, Teresa Acosta, Josie Mena, and Dolly Arredondo.
In 2019 at the Mother’s Day with Arte Americas event, Dolly was honored as Mother of Year because of her long-time advocacy in the community, volunteerism, friend, and mother.
