League of Mexican American Women

The League of Mexican American Women (ā€œLMAWā€) is a community-based organization that was established in 1973 by a group of women involved in community and political associations throughout Fresno County.

The League of Mexican American Women supports opportunities that will promote education, cultural identity, leadership development, and service.

Since 1985, the League has had the privilege of hosting the Adelante Mujer Conference, a career and education conference with a focus on high school students throughout Fresno County.  Each year is a different theme with a different focus.

The League of Mexican American Women Scholarship Committee would like to thank all of our Scholarship Donors and League members who made it possible to award $51,500.00 in scholarships to Fresno County Students last year, April 16, 2023.

Monthly General Meetings

General meetings will are held at Workforce Connection, unless otherwise stated, on the second Saturday of the month and will begin promptly at 9:30AM. We will continue to hold both in-person and Zoom meeting options for our members to attend.
